Spline Modelling Help

Hi,

I have a reindeer spline as attached to this thread and I want to convert it in a 3d Model.

I am kind of beginner to 3d Max, and I am pretty sure, there is an easy method to do it.

I tried to extrude the shape but it didn't work.

Thanks for the help

It appears that none of the vertices are welded. In the pic, see how most of the points are yellow? Yellow points on a spline are end-points. So while all of the segments are connected into a single object, the vertices need to also be welded into single splines before extruding will work correctly.

A single line segment always has a white point at one end and a yellow point at the other. This shows the "direction" of the spline, which starts at white point and ends at yellow point.

Get in close, because there are very tiny gaps! I couldn't see this gap until I was at maximum zoom!

You might try selecting all the verts and welding with very small threshold, like .001, first, then go in close to inspect and fix.

Have you tried the Vertex Weld modifier?
