Soft Select Not Working

i am working with 3ds max 2015 and my soft selection is not working i dont know why help me out here please

Hello @Anonymous,

I'm happy to help you with your problem, but I'd need a bit more information to do so.  Is it possible to post a simple scene file that has your issue or a screenshot of the problem, please?  Depending on your scene scale you may have to adjust the falloff until it affects more vertices or faces.

I tried increasing the offer but it's not affecting my object...I don't know why, I tried using the edit tool it wasn't working..... for a while then it started working...thank you  ‎,i will b sure to get back to u if I run into more hiccups.....
