Reference image too dark

The reference image I am using looks very dark in 3ds Max 2017. I created it making a plane and then dragging the .jpg image onto the plane. Then I used Bitmap fit from UVW MAP to adjust it. How can I light it to increase visibility?

This is the original image:

And this is the image as I see in 3ds Max:

Thanks in advance.

See if changing the Global Lighting helps.  Hit 8 on the keyboard or Rendering, Environment ... to bring up the Environment and Effect dialog box. Then increase the Global Lighting level.

Well, I've solved the problem, but not by changing the Global Lighting. Instead, I went to "Gamma and LUT" in "Preference Settings" and I turned off "Enable Gamma/LUT correction". And now the picture is clearly seen, so, it seems that the problem has been solved. Thank you very much for the attention in any case, Iminardigmail. Smiley Happy
