Polycount Question

Hi there. I have this small situation and like to see if this is a good idea or not.You see I'm helping out with rendering some buildings in 3ds max.I have to render them with a image precision of at least medium. The thing is each building while in its own file has it where its polycount is over 250,000 polys. I have to have it where I put them all in one scene so I can render them out at the precision I mention. However what concern is having to do that won't be would be too much for 3ds max as I have to put in at least 5 or more of the building and that be a lot of polys. This isn't for a game, just to render some scenes to show but I think that be a ton to render.  Can 3ds max handle that much or should I look into something like autocad. I can't really decrease the polygon unless there is someway to make that building i have be one to help bring the count down and I can't use attach as it messes with things in the building like chair. Does anyone have any suggestion on how I could merge these into one file to get some high render shot but at the same time reduce the polycount. The purpose is to show render of how these buildings look for visual aid of location. I hope I'm making sense. Just want to find a way to put all these building in one scene so I can take many renders shot but don't want to overload the program. Also I'm using the 2016 version so if i need the 2018 let me know

3dsMax can handle large volumes of data however, like what you've done, it's best practice to break this up into multiple MAX files.

XRef is a great option here - File > References > XRef Scene

This allows you to link all these MAX files to your scene which you can show/hide as you need them and will be included in your final render.

Oh really because if I can that be helpful. Yeah I have it where I have about 6 different kind of building that are 250,000 polygons and want to set up a render scene as sort of a blueprint or overhead view of how the building will be set up and thats going to have about 16 of them so instead of trying to put them all in at once for it.  Doing this will really help out as want to also get render shot of the building together and a view from one of them looking at the others as a view. Don't want to overdo it on the polygons.
