How to move biped bones like this video?

Hi so in the above video at the time it starts the person has multiple bones selected and moves them it mirrors the movement and they move towards or away from each other but when I move mine they both move in the same direction. I can explain if that doesn't make sense. But how do I make them move like he does?

You must select Local coordinate system in top bar to do it.
