How to customize 3ds max main panel?

Hello there,

I was watching a modeling tutorial on Youtube and saw that there's apparently a way to place main "functions" 's buttons on right panel of the screen (above modifier's list). Does anyone knows how to do this?

Actually, older help files are better in this case.
