How can I move many vertices by the same amount as ONE vertex along its face?

I have a cone, on which I drew many vertices. I realised that these vertices are slightly to low on my cone.

So I want to raise them along the surface of the cone, but the problem is: If I select all vertices and manually raise them, the polygons around these vertices will be slightly bent (because I can't "slide" the vertices perfectly along the surface of the cone.

Also, if I "constraint" to edge or face, some vertices don't move the same way as others, because they're either on a face or an edge.

So basically, I want to select only ONE vertex and move it along its face, but I also want all the other vertices to move by the same amount as that one vertex.

Is that possible?

Hi,

The object should be an editable poly, then you can go to edge sub-object level,

Select the edge loop that you want to move, you can quickly do that by selecting one edge

Then pressing the ALT+L on the keyboard

Now from the Ribbon click the Swift Loop button, click the ALT key, move your mouse near the selected

Edge loop, click and drag the loop up or down.

You can also use the combination CTRL+ALT+Drag if you like to drag your loop and, at the same time, straighten

The vertices if they have different Z coordinates.

Note: When using ALT+Drag, the Loop that you're moving up or down will morph itself to resemble the edge

Loop that it's approaching to.

Moving vertices along the surface or edge of an object have its own constraints in the edit tab. same tab as swift loop, just under it. The shortcut for it is shift + x, in case you don't see it, just make sure to shift x again when you're done so that it doesn't affect the rest of  your workflow, this is great for when you want to adjust the position of a vertex/edge/polygon without sabotaging your model's shape or silhouette
