Gooseneck cable

Hey, anyone could help me with inserting ''gooseneck pipe' or 'gooseneck cable' pattern onto pipe? I created shape like cable and converted to editable poly. The best result could be 3D or something like that (I would rather not use any textures) [black cable is what I need and blue 3D model is my current state]

Thanks for any help!

I would do the following

  • Model one section of the cable
  • Create a spline shape that represents your cable
  • Use the Spacing Tool to complete the final result

Make sure that you enable "Follow" so that the cable sections flow with the spline

Thanks, but the cable is 3-dimensional, it seems it works for your cable which is only located in xy plane. The cable I need to use uses every direction and this Tool seems not working for the result I need. Let's say I need something like this:

After creating the initial spline you can move the individual vertices to wherever you want to make it exactly what you need 😉
