Hello @travis.designer.vn ;

3ds Max cannot "file > open" native Fusion 360 files. You can file > export your scene / object from Fusion 360 and file > import > import into 3ds max. (for eg: .obj, .3ds, .stl, .iges)

Hi @kgokhangurbuz

I agree with you. I just intent to ask 3DS Max Team that Are there plan to direct import F3D file?

After test import STEP file and IPT file. I think IPT file have many advantages such as

  • remain material on Face
  • keep the shape of model (NOT convert to Mesh)

I would also like to be able to import f3d files into 3ds Max. I do not have Fusion 360 and all I want to do is convert it into something reasonable that 3ds Max can use. They are both Autodesk products. Can we please get this feature sometime in the near future?

It would be an excellent way to bring singular animated objects and objects designed in Fusion 360 into 3DS Max, Fusion 360 is so much easier to design and model single parts or smaller assemblies... And then from 3ds Max into Maya etc... I'm looking for a way to import one part and its associated animation from Fusion 360 into either 3DS Max or Maya... Having these import features would make for great stepping stones for students and beginners  to progress from Fusion 360 to ACAD or 3DS Max or Maya...

Any help would be appreciated...
