About select by Smoothing groups

Hi

I use 3 ds max 2022

When using " select by Smoothing group"

Encounter a problem.

"Clear selection checked " or

"Clear selection unchecked" in both the case my selection gets added to the previous selections.

Is there any solution for this.

Is this a bug anyone gets like me.

Faces/polys can be part of multiple smoothing groups. So if a face is part of both groups 1 and 2, selecting by either 1 or 2 will select that same face.
