ToolTips should be optional

There's no way to disable ToolTips. Now they're getting so huge that they are covering up large areas of the screen. It's supremely frustrating when the ToolTip actively obscures the interface element that it's attempting to describe.

Please add a preference to disable ToolTips entirely.

Please, thats super annoying. alow the user if they want some tooltips, extended tooltips, etc. Is very annoying to have  always appearing a popup when you simply want to click the modifier icon.  Its good for people starting, but should be mandatory to be able to desactivate them totally.

Extended Tooltips can be disabled in Customize->Preferences->Help->Show Extended Tooltips.

Yes, extended tooltips. But I still have a tooltip when I go over "modifier" panel, for example or any other icon. They dont extend anymore, but I still have this popup really annoying.

Extended ToolTips can indeed be turned off, but I am requesting a feature to disable all ToolTips entirely.

This is the most annoying update ever... Interferes with the viewport and with our nerves....

YES!!! So frustrating, 

I get blinking tooltip and the text description in a different box and just have to time it right to select any tool/button.

End up pressing a button repeatedly to turn it on because tooltip gets in the way.
