Being able to quickly render 360° images inside 3ds Max interactive would be very handy. (equirectangular, in both mono or stereoscopic) Of course, the rendering quality (antialiasing for instance) would need to be improved ad well.
After spending a lot of time in creating an immersive VR experience for Oculus/htc vive (ment for high end computer), we sometimes also need a mobile version (html5, ios, android..) with the same look than the high end version. Restarting the project for mobile would take too much time, and might not be possible. Rendering 360 images and use them in pano2vr/wonda vr or else would do the trick.
