【The Issue】
When selecting vertices on complex shapes, do you ever find yourself accidentally selecting vertices at the back of the view instead of the ones in the foreground?
In Maya, the system prioritizes selecting vertices closer to the camera (in the foreground).
However, in 3ds Max, the vertices at the back tend to get selected instead.
This same issue occurs with the "Cut" tool as well; it either cuts the back side or fails to register the cut entirely.
【Desired Behavior】
I would like the system to prioritize selecting and evaluating vertices located in the foreground.
*Note: "Ignore Backfacing" cannot be used as a workaround here, as it only applies to faces with normals pointing away from the camera.
【Benefits】
It would improve efficiency by reducing selection errors.
Furthermore—and this is no joke—it would help reduce physical strain on the arm, potentially preventing issues like tendonitis.
