Material names in imported Revit files that make sense

Material names in imported Revit files that make sense

When importing or linking a revit file, nearly all imported materials are simply called "Standardmaterial", regardless of what they were named in Revit.

It would make far more sense to retain the material names from Revit, either the revit material itself, or the render material.

Good idea.

hi @RosaryMala, sorry this took a little while to get looked at.

This is definitely not the intended behavior and sounds more like a bug than anything. I'm not seeing the same issue on my end. I'd be happy to investigate a bit more. What version of Revit and 3ds Max are you using? Would you be able to supply an example .rvt file?

This seems to be working in recent versions, I will archive this topic but feel free to repost this at a later date if there are further improvement ideas on this topic!
