XRef modifiers

I'm wondering how this new feature (Xref modifiers) of MAX 2016 should be working?

I was assuming the modifiers will be accesible in UI, but there seem to be no difference against previous versions on MAX except any attribute holder modifier is exposed on Xrefed object.

From my understanding there is no 'XRef-modifier' in the form that you can have arbitrary modifiers local or xrefed.

You can use the presets/drop-down to either have (all) modifiers local or as XRef.

You can however expose parameters by using 'Publish Parameters' from he curve editor.

If you want this feature to be further extended and developed then please use uservoice.

Yes, you understood correctly.

In manner of fact, 'Publishing' is quite often not enough. Especially when boolean values are failing in this.

Thanks for the advice, but I'm not so naive to believe 'User voice' could does any difference.

It`s the only 3dsmax 'wishlist' monitored by the development team.

And uservoice already brought us the renovated XRef`s, Alembic support,MCG, OpenSubdiv, Quad chamfer and more.
