Will I be charged as a student for 3ds Max?

Hello, guys,

I have another question after my first post.  Before I go to the link that will tell me that I am eligible, will I be charged to download Autodesk 3ds Max as a student?  Will it require me to fill out my payment methods with a credit/debit card?  And when after filling out the payment method, will I be charged to pay for the software?  I would like to learn how to use various 3D modeling and rendering softwares other than Blender, so that's why I'm here, and questioning.  Thank you.

Well, does the same apply if I select the button "Start For Free" as soon as select 3ds Max? And also, will the eligibility link tell me that I have obtained a student licenses?

Hi @Anonymous,

I am assuming you went and got the trial. You will want to cancel any auto-renewal options you put for the trial if you have already done this. Then make sure you have correctly created your student account and download 3ds Max from the education communities website. This will generate the student license.

I actually didn't download the 30-month trial exactly, I just saw that "Start For Free" button, and that's it. I didn't click on it. But I have obtained a student license, serial number and stuff, and have the Entertainment Creative Suite 2016 package. So, I'll be learn the suite for free for the next three years. Thank you for providing me the links and your answer though! (:
