Can someone guide me through a start to finish method of quickly downloading 3D Studio Max 2023 Trial?
Firsly finding the location of a download without going through a download manager which is hit and miss anyway (I have no option to download anything apart from updates for obsolete software in my download manager) is a challenge - finding a direct download is even more so, going from a google search without attempting to sift through the mess that is the autodesk website.
I've tried the Web Install method which results in an error (C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp files missing) and the direct download method which finishes downloading 2.0GB file and then says some further files are missing.
I presume these methods haven't been fully tested with a handful of the common browsers (FAO of Autodesk, these are Edge, Chrome and Firefox - the downloader doesn't work with Edge, your web page download site doesn't work at all with Firefox) - but this had been the case with previous versions.
The only fix for this problem which shouldn't exist in 2022 is to use direct downloads from https://www.softexia.com/windows/graphics-design/autodesk-3ds-max#download which doesn't include the amount of uneccessary fluff Autodesk have included in their installs.
