Why can't we equally space existing objects?!

There is no option to space our created objects equally. When we create multiple objects by using a snapshot, they are not equally spaced. We have to space those objects by hand one by one. The given option here is to create new objects which will be spaced or aligned. But we need to align our created/existing objects to align/space evenly. I think this is a major setback in designing complex objects.

If you are using Max 2025 I think there is an issue. I can't get it to work properly and distribute already created objects. I suggest you look at Hagen's permanent post on this category and officially report it as a bug.

However, do a Google search or go to 'Scriptspot' as there are some free and inexpensive scripts and plugins that will handle the task nicely.

Hi, and thank you for reporting an issue in the Snapshot tool.
I hope a few additional tips may help you to achieve correct spacing:

Please animate the object first. The snapshot tool in the "Range" mode will use the distance from A to B point to distribute the objects evenly, depending on the linear speed of the animation. You can also use an animation created by using the PathDeform modifier.

Please let me know if you still have a problem.

If you want to create an even spacing of objects without animation, use the Array modifier.
