Hi folks,

I'm struggling to use the Curve editor in 3ds 2019, I cant seem to view all of the keys and adjust them. Why's that then?

hoping it's a quick fix

Here's what my curve editor looks like:

Hello @phil-g

Thanks for bringing your question to the forums, it looks like you are visiting as a new member to the 3DS Max forum. I want to extend a warm welcome to the Autodesk Community!

In regards to your issue, I have a few questions for you. If you open up your dope sheet (right next to where you open the curve editor, do you still not see your assets list on the left side of the editor?

At first glance, it looks like the object you are currently animating is super far away from world space 0, it could be that your other objects are closer to the origin of your scene, so I would suggest scrolling up, to see the rest of your objects keyframes.

How many frames of animation do you expect to see? It looks like currently the object you have selected has about 800 frames so far.

I'm not sure why you aren't able to see anything on the left side of your curve editor, mine looks like this.

It could be that your UI needs a reset, here is an article on how to reset your user profile back to default. Keep in mind this wipes out your plugins, so you will have to re-link them to Max after you reset your profile. I hope this helps you out! Keep me updated, if none of this helps we can continue troubleshooting 😄

Talk to you soon!

Yeah that's how I'd expect to see the curve editor too. At one point I was able to see the Rotation key points, but not the Position key point. After clicking around I now see nothing as per the first image.

My objects are close to 0,0,0

I expect to see 800 frames

I better go and re-set the UI and re-install the plugins.

UI reset, I still only see 'World' on the top left of the curve editor, no objects or ketframes are visible

Ok, solution found. It's just one of the many buttons at the bottom of the curve editor filtering out everything. Uncheck some of those and normal service is resumed.

Hi @phil-g

Thanks for the update! What was the button that hid everything? I'm betting it was one of these filters right?
