I just got a new computer and installed 3ds max 2009 on it and my user interface is displaying incorrectly.  In the modify panel, the columns appear too narrow for the content so some buttons are cut off.  I've tried adjustiing the resolution of my display driver from 1920 x 1080 to lower settings with no solutuon.  I'm running a windows 10 OS on an Alienware 17 with a GeForce GTX 980M graphics card. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks.

This usually happens when a text scaling value other than the default 100% is used in the Control Panel->Display settings. Head over to your control panel->display settings ( the legacy one, or the one that you get in windows 10 by Advanced display settings->Advanced sizing of text and other items )

There , under "Change size of items" is a "set a custom scaling level", click on that and check that the value in the slider is set to 100%

All other values cause the font&UI scaling in Max to be off, which leads to your problems

Besides that you should notice that Max 2009 is'nt officially supported with windows 10, so i guess we are lucky that Max runs on that new OS

See the pic below for a screenshot of the interface
