Uninstalled Max, but it still says license is Active?! Please help!

Please help!

I have a standalone copy of 3Ds Max 2017 which I recently had installed on a computer at work.

Due to issues with the machine, I had to perform a complete reinstall of Windows 10 and in the process, uninstalled 3Ds Max.

After the fresh install of Windows 10, I issued this machine to another employee and decided to install my copy of 3Ds Max 2017 onto a different machine, but it keeps saying:

Activation limit exceeded

You have already activated your product on the maximum number of computers permitted by your license.

Theres is literally no trace of 3Ds Max on the previous machine but I need to get it up and running as soon as possible. I cant find anyway of contacting Autodesk direct, I just keep getting their Virtual Agent who goes off on in completley the wrong direction.

What do I do?!

we talked about this about a month ago @Mark.Lancaster said "you need to throw an email over or call autodesk and get them to active it for you, because you have activated it too many times"
