I tried saving as the version 24 file to the version 22. But when I check the saved file, it's the version 23.
I have to deliver it to someone else, but he said it doesn't keep opening.
Am I doing something wrong or is there an error?
Seems you confuse the 3ds Max Release ( current is 2026 ) with the actual, internal 3ds max version number:
The numbers in your second screenshot are actually correct:
You were using 3ds Max 2024 ( which is Version 26.00 ) to save to 3ds Max 2022 ( which is version 24.00 internally )
As a shortcut, the internal version number is always as follows: max release number - 2000 + 2
so 3ds Max 2024 is version 26.00 and so on ...
eg 3ds Max 2025 would be version 27.x.x etc
