stl to solid

Good Morning,

I would like to ask you about 3DS MAX 2017, I start to work with trial version 2017. Could you help me, if i can work with stl data and export from this softvare solid model? step or iges? can i "translate" it?

Hi;

3ds Max can export .STL and .IGS formats, but not step files, it can only import .step files and IGS files again. IGS files can only show editable spline > surface and /or NURBS objects, 3ds max native geometries cannot be saved as IGS unless they are body objects.

Imported .STL files come as Editable Mesh objects, you can modify, re-save and "transform" them.
