not sure where to post this, but is autodesk working on software that would allow me to do a 3d sketch on a tablet or touch-screen and then convert that to a 3d model in max?  or maybe in the max viewport with a pen tablet.

i could for example, sketch the basic shape of a building in perspective view, so you'd see front/side/top.  not point-to-point line drawing, but an actual sketch.  then max could read that and create a "straitened" up 3d model of it.  it could assume symmetry or, just let me add symmetry once in max.  it could ask for dimensions/units but it would try to keep the basic proportions as sketched.  finally it could "clean up" lines - make them strait...

after all that, then i could push/pull verticies once created.

sorry if this already exists... if so, let me know!  i've been searching a bit and not finding it yet 🙂

To my knowledge there isn't anything like that that does everything you say. At best I've seen programs that take a 2D image and extrude it but even then I'm not confident of usable results.

This is the best I've personally seen but no word for a few years now so.....yeah. Not holding my breath on this one:

Maybe someone else in the community is aware of something suitable
