Runtime error: cannot get mesh from this object

Hello

I have a big problem when I would like to create a light (all),a camera (all) or all given in 3dsmax (particles, forces, ...) .

Here is the message (see clip 2-3-4...)

I've reinstalled my video card drivers, but nothing change...

Do you have a solution?

can you explain to me what exactly you are doing when this error occurs?

Are you creating those objects by script?

Hi Nadia,

I just try to create a camera, or a light. My solution for the camera:
create a camera by this function "create camera from view" and for light,
merge lights by a 3dsmax file.

I've reinstalled 3ds Max and it's running fine.

and now with the reinstall, 3ds Max is behaving like expected and you don´t have to use any workarounds to create objects?
