Yeah, the title says it, I have the "Show Shaded Material in Viewport" box checked, and still comes up as grey.

Did you checked under "view" and then there must be something like "show material in viewport as" try to choose "Standard with maps"

i don't know how its called in the english version. I am using a different language.

An other problem that i sometimes get is the "real world map size".
The scale often does not fit so you get a really small tiling and the texture seems to be grey or just like a single color. You can find this in the settings of your map near the tiling options.

Let me know if this helps ^^

do you have a UVW map modifier on the object? Does it have mapping coordinates?

I've found that sometimes if you check the show material in viewport on the top level of the material it doesn't show the texture, but if you go into the map, and then show in viewport, that works.

The only other option that I have found is the one mentioned above.

Cheers,

Bill

You have to click "Realistic Materials with Maps" or "Shaded Materials with Maps" under the viewport quick access menu.

Please check here to see how to display texture in viewport:

https://evermotion.org/vbulletin/showthread.php?104908-show-material-in-viewport

Go to command panel > Display > Shaded > Stick in :"Material color"
