[Question] UV No checker pattern on model

Hi, the UV checker pattern doesn't show up on my model, i have selected the checker pattern under the dropdown list in Uv editor.  However, if i made new sphere, the checker pattern does show up. Not sure what goes wrong.

Anyone please help?

You've turned on XRAY view for the object. Turn that off and it should be fine. Press alt + X or right click on object and go to Object Properties > General > Display Properties and turn off See-Through.

make sure you have show map enabled, it should be in the same place, but i am using an older version of max. image attached
