Problem with the view from Vray Physical Camera since added HDRi

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering a problem with the view from the physical camera (Vray) I created for my scene since I added an HDRi (with Vray Light Dome)

Basically now, when I click into the view from the physical camera, I don't see my scene with the furniture, etc, I just see the HDRi as if there was nothing (Picture1). Same when I try to render.

When I use the dolly camera to move my camera view, it just goes through my scene and I see part of the furniture and part of the HDRi mixed up. (Picture 2)
Even when I remove the HDRi, it doesn't come back to normal.

When I go back to perspective view, I get the view I should get with the camera view. (Picture3)

Has anyone encountered the same problem or would know how to fix that?

Thank you very much for your time and help!!

Miriam

PS: I use 3ds Max 2017 with Vray 3.4

https://hdrihaven.com/hdri/?c=night&h=moonless_golf that's the HDRi I used in 8k.

Hi there.

First of all you are NOT in a V-Ray physical cam. Let's make that clear. You are in the built in physical camera.

if you'd like to get the V-Ray cam, you should be in a perspective view, click the V-Ray Physical Camera button in the V-Ray toolbar, and then the camera is created from the view.

Second: The target feature of cameras can sometimes be a bit buggy. Try disabling targeted while making the camera anew.

It also looks like your camera is clipping, in the viewport at least, so try checking your clipping settings: Click the camera-text in the viewports top left corner, and then click on Viewport Clipping. Try moving both arrows to the very top and bottom respectively.

A few other things you may want to check is the aperture width in the F10-dialog. make sure it is set to something "normal", not just 0.01 or the like. Also check that your camera is not scaled! For example an extreme scale on the Z-axis.

Let us know how things develop.
