Subject: Problem with clock system sync:Unreachable. Unable to start 3dsmax2017 because..

Greetings Dear Autodesk support team.
I am writing you in order to sort a persistent trouble issue with my computer and the programs Fusion 360. Also this is happening when i try to start my recently installed 3dsMax2017.

With both programs, when i try to start them, i always receive prompted messages talking of CLOCK error  Or system clock error or system clock sync problem.

I wrote you in August regarding to this issue (just around Fusion 360), in that opportunity, i do not why or how, by those days i could solve the impossibility to start Fusion 360. I mean, It was the case for i was writing you, and i was assisted very supportive that time. i went back to you telling that the issue was solved, but once the case was closed i restarted computer then i couldn't get anymore access to the software. Since that i didnt find how to solve the starting problem that is in conflict with the time clock of my o.s. And now it is with the 3dsmax 2017 version.

Since yesterday, I have tried many ways of solving such as:
1. verifying the timezone (the timezone is ok, but the error persists)
2. Synchronize and update with the Internet server (it is unreachable)
3. veryfing "services" setup on windows time, and xhanging to Automatic. Also restarting it (nothing new is happen, same error message when start both programs)
4. I look at device manage> system devices > real time CMOS changed to unistall and then restarting computer
5. >>>> i do not know WHAT MORE can i do in order reach a solution for this issue, and reach the software <<<<

I would appreciate any help of you regarding this time clock sync. Thanks in advance

Hello @Anonymous,

I'd like to help with this issue.  I don't have any notes for this in 3ds Max, but I see some in the Fusion area.  I can see that you've covered your bases on this one, checking time zone, CMOS battery, etc.  I talked with a Fusion 360 support tech and he mentioned that this article has solved it for many people, but given you post it seems you've tried a lot of this already.  Can you verify that you have turned off "Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving Time" as noted in that article for me please?

I have a couple other questions for you as well:

1) When your problem was solved the first time, what steps solved that issue until your reboot?

2) Do you use a proxy server or some kind of server between your computer and your internet connection?

3) In your screenshot you show time.windows.com as being unreachable, is it possible your firewall is blocking the connection going out to some of these servers?

Thanks for the information and best regards,
