Preview Selection mode ( sub-object ) it works incorrectly

I often use the preview selection mode when modeling, but unfortunately it has bugs that have been going on for many versions. Version 2022 is no exception.

The preview selection mode (sub-object) allows you to easily select polygons by simply dragging the cursor over them, which is very convenient. When selecting polygons, everything works correctly, but the vertices and edges are broken. You make it impossible to select by region (selection region). The program simply refuses to do it. With edges, the story is similar, only after trying to use the selection of regions, it breaks down and does not stand out anymore.

Hmmm, I can reproduce this problem in 2022 and 2021. Testing to see if there are any potential workarounds. I will log this one with the development team.
