there is no photo you have not uploaded one, are you using the hierarchy panel to try and move the pivot point? do you have the padlock is the locked position is the pivot point on center on the main toolbar

If you reinstalled it then this should not be an issue, everything should be working. maybe you found a new bug.

have you tried to reset the max and do the samething to a new scene file and created a box and tried to move the pivot point that way if your friend has no problem with the file then you must of done something wrong,

do you have effect object only selected in the hierarchy panel when i locked this down i cannot use the pivot point when i unselect it then i can move the pivot point

there is no way that i can move the pivot in the center, when i try to move the pivot max move the object like that the pivot in the center is blocked there like that there is a constrain there. i i try to move the object and do the same things.

i try to reset max and reinstall it but is the same.

you know a way for reset the pivot but not with the normal way ?

as i said in my last post if you have the effect object only selected in blue then you cannot move it when you deselect that option then you can move the pivot point you can use the center/centre to object this will reset the pivot point

  1. Select an object and then turn on Hierarchy panel Adjust Pivot rollout Affect Pivot Only. or you should just see reset option box
  2. Move or rotate the pivot. You can also use Align, Quick Align, and Align to View on the toolbar to align the pivot. See Adjust Transform Rollout for related information.

Hello @Andre.GG and welcome to the community,

In general, you don't have to reinstall Max if things start to get weird on you.  You usually just need to reset the user settings.  I've read through the posts here and looked at your screenshots, and this does seem odd.  When you create objects, are they rotated all weirdly like in your images?

Instead of using the Affect Object Only button, try the Affect Pivot Only button and then press "Center to Object".  Does that work?  Thanks for any extra information as I wrap my head around this.  I'm not sure I totally understand what is happening here but I'll do whatever I can to help you.  I suspect resetting the setting will help.  (Keep in mind that reinstalling doesn't reset the settings.)

Best Regards,
