Physical camera horizontal AUTO alignment?

Hi there,

Using max 2018.

In the vray camera there was a brilliant option to align vertically AND horizontally with a single click - done!

in the new physical camera there appears to be a check mark "auto vertical Tilt correction" - great!

Where is this magical tick mark to auto adjust HORIZONTAL tilt? Why is it not there??

The only way to do it from what I understand is:

1) there is a possibility to adjust both vert/hori values manually - 0.0 (tilt correction) - by eyeballing.

2) you enable the "targeted" pick cameras target, use align x value and - done! After additional steps!

This is very frustrating.

Hi,

I created a script that allows you to create the V-Ray Physical Camera again using mouse clicks,

Here is the demo video: https://youtu.be/BY1HzoI0Hjo

If you like it, you can download the script from the description area, install it and create a

Toolbar button for it

Thanks  miledrizk for taking time to reply to my post.

I have seen this script around to insert vray cam and tried to use it in my scenes.

I noticed, at least in 2018 max, that using the camera navigation (arrows on keyboard) vray cam compared to  physical cam is lagging on movement response. Might be just my scene at this very moment.

I understand that there are little differences in output with both cams and vray properties have been integrated - therefore happy to move forward with this.

But! I would like to understand (autodesk programboys) as to WHY auto horizontal shift is not also included? I am rendering close up boxes at the moment, which require perfect both horizontal and vertical alignment.

Thanks, I will probably shift to script if it keeps bugging me too much!

Best!
