No Swift Loop

I've searched for a problem similar to mine but couldn't find... I cannot get Swift Loop to work on a plane I'm editing, but it works on other boxes and planes (see video). I think problem may be I delete some edges on the plane I work on so Swift Loop no longer recognize...

Hi, i suspect isolated vertices or reversed normals on your plane. Select all polys on this plane, click on flip and try again.

You can pack this scene and attach it here, would be easier to point the exact problem.

Hi, you have isolated vertices.

Select vertex, and remove all isolated one, all vertex except the 4 corners 🙂 and click remove and try again.

I was wondering if you can explain why isolated vertices cause Swift Loop to stop working? I'm beginner at 3ds Max and I think it's important I understand reasoning behind everything to become good.

It's simple, Swift loop works only on 4 sides polygons. With isolated vertices, your plane has more than 4 sides (or 4 edges).

A trick here, when you select an edge you want to delete, press CTRL+Remove, this way the edge is remove with his associated vertices.
