Nesting plugin or script for 3Ds max?

So i have a shape and a plane. And I want to fill the plane with as many of that shape as possible, no matter their orientation. Does max have any kind of plugin or script able to solve this task?

You can use any of the following even without scripts

1. Object Paint tool - found in 3ds max Ribbon Panel

2. Or use 3ds Max Particles System
