I just happened upon this thread but that is the difficulty that has cropped up in my work! 1 cm offset it seems. Do you know what causes that?

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community,

This thread is before my time but I'd like to help solve it and put it to rest.  I need some information from you please in order to properly investigate this issue.  Can you please answer the following questions for me?

1) What is your Max Versions, Service Pack, and OS?

2) Do you use a tablet, trackpad, 3D mouse, or cintiq?  (Or any other peripheral for 3D.)

3) Did this happen suddenly or is this a fresh installation.  If it happened suddenly, were there any driver, hardware additions, or windows updates recently?

Thank you for the information and best regards,

Hello @Anonymous,

Oh you're using Maya?  I'm really just a 3ds Max support person currently, want me to move your post to the Maya forums?

If you meant Max (it happens), does it persist if you uninstall your trackball mouse driver and unplug it?  Were there any driver or hardware additions recently?  Does this only happen in Max/Maya or does it happen all over Windows?  Thanks for any extra information you can give me.

Best Regards,

it turns out that downloading the latest nvidia drivers and resetting the
factory settings did the trick but thanks!
