Missing 'scene states manager'

I can't get the 'manage scene states'-window to pop up. Tried to access it both thru the quad-menu as well as the tools-dropdown. Is there anybody out there, with the same problem?

I've used it in previous versions, where it worked fine -for me.

Still having this problem... 3ds Max 2016 SP2 with Windows10

I'm allready admin so changing to admin and restarting 3ds Max cant be it. 

Also deleted the ENU but that doesnt seem to help..

Can anyone help? I cant really reinstall 3ds Max since I have alot of plugins...

Same problem here. Windows 7 64bit max 2016 sp3. Can't get the scene manager work.

I have the same problem in 2016 sp3 on Win 7 Pro

Deleting the max pref INI in the user's personal settings folder fixed this for me.

Where I can found this max.ini? What is the path that is located? Could you send me the steps?

The path to the INI is here: C:\Users\[your userid]\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2017 - 64bit\ENU The easy way to open this directory is to type '%LOCALAPPDATA%' into your run field in the start menu. Then drill into Autodesk\3DsMax...

You can open ".ini"file  with Notepad App in Windows.
