Just to confirm that you know that the Hotkey Editor was moved to a separate menu item under "Customize" in Max 2020?  Are you saying that this separate Menu item has disappeared from the Customize menu?  What version of Max are you using?

This issue has been reported before and has been fixed by renaming the 3ds Max AppData folder: How to reset 3ds Max user preference settings back to default

here the link to the forum thread: Missing: Hotkey Editor

Yeah I hate to say it but that isnt solving my problem either. I deleted my appdata enu folder, and reinstalled max. Still no hotkey editor there. Talked to one of my colleagues and apparently his is missing it too. This might be a bug.

Are you using at least 3ds Max 2020.1 Update version?

Are you importing any older UI or menu files?

I installed a new one from max 2020, but shouldn't that not make a difference if I completely reinstall max?

I'm not sure I understand.

If you go to the help menu->Autodesk product information->about 3ds Max, what production version is listed? It would look something like 22.0.X.XXX

Ok, that explains things

Hotkey Editor was only available as of 2020.1 Update. I would recommend that you update 3ds Max 2020 to the latest update, 2020.3

If you're stuck on 2020.0, however, you can still customize Hotkeys via the Customize User Interface Dialog/keyboard tab
