I am trying to work in a 3ds max scene i made, it has some high poly models, the scene has 22.000.000 Polys.

Is there a way i can make 3ds max run smoother without having to reduce my scene?

Any tips is valued! Smiley Very Happy

Hello @Chri688m,

If you're going to work with scenes that big, there are a few things you can do to make it easier to work with.

1) Get more RAM

2) Set objects to "Display as Box".  This will reduce overhead quite a bit.  I used to do retail viz and this was a necessity to even work in the files.

3) Set objects into layers and hide layers you are not working on.

4) Make proxies out of your high poly objects and set them to viewport point cloud or low poly representation.

5) Use XRef's and disable some of them when not working on them.

Can you please try some of these things to see if it helps your RAM filling up?

Best Regards,
