Massive lag with Cintiq 13HD

I've purchased a Wacom Cintiq 13HD. It's nearly useless with Max 2016 on Windows 10. Right clicks into a quad create a massive cursor lag and none of the items are selectable. I'm running the latest 16.3.15-1 drivers.

I've read a bunch of suggestions for Pen and Touch adjustments but nothing helps.

Anyone else having this issue and any solutions?

Hello,

I understand that you're seeing a serious issue with screen lag when using a Wacom Cintiq 13HD graphics tablet running 3ds max 2016 under Windows 10.

Unfortunately, Autodesk does not yet officially support Windows 10 as an approved operating system for 3ds max 2016 and other products. You can read more about that here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Window...

In addition, Wacom has pointed out there may still be issues with using their products under Windows 10:

http://community.wacom.com/en/inspiration/blog/2015/august/wacom-and-windows-10

Please read the information at both links and see if they help you. You should also probably monitor the Wacom site for updated drivers as they are released, which might improve your screen navigation in 3ds max. (I don't yet have a timetable for when Autodesk will officially support Windows 10 for 3ds max 2016.)

I hope this information helps, and if you have any other technical support questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Jon A. Bell,

I'm using the same cintiq model you have with Windows 10 and Max 2016, and Quad menus are pretty much the only issue I ran into using Max. I just modified my workflow to not to have to use Quad menus at all - they're super slow anyway. USe this as an opportunity to make more hotkeys? You will become faster altogether.

Yea, thanks for the tip. That's sort of where I am too. I happen to like the quad menus but have gotten used now to not having them. I've actually made more custom toolbars to cover my most frequently accessed quad menu items. I'm OK for now but I hope that a fix is on the way.

Tbh, as far as modelling with a Cintiq goes I wish they'd implement pie menus rather than fixing Quads 😉 But I doubt it's going to happen.
