Map Types missing in Material/Map Browser

I'm missing things like the Falloff map, Particle Age map etc from the Material Map Browser.

  1. I click the Diffuse Map button on a standard material.
  2. The material/Map Browser pops up.
  3. Under maps I don't have a Standard section... Which is where I used to see things like the Falloff map etc.

How do I get the missing map types to appear?

This is in Max 2018 Student.

Hi,

The first thing I'd check is that you might have selected a different rendering engine. Not all standard materials are compatible with all rendering engines.

You can select to 'show incompatible' via the menu drop button on the material map/browser window;Untitled.png
