Making black and white strip/comic/ cartoon?

Hi everybody!

For a project i was asked if i could make a short strip/ comic wich will be placed in a warehouse for instructions.

In the comic i have to depict unloading barrels from a truck, transporting it to a location and storing it secure.

This can be done in about 20 frames and it has to be in black and white.

Would this be possible? I would only need the outer outline for the barrel, truck and forklift and so on, but i would have no idea how to go about this.

I have acces to all adobe products for after effects so the editing phase should not be a problem.

Would love to hear if this is possible and how you would go at it.

Thanks.

- Nick

Edit: I use Arnold renderer and 3ds Max 2024

First i was thinking about the Ink n Paint tool, but i found out that max Arnold 2024 does not support this anymore.

And online a read a lot that "toon" is about the same, but as someone who has worked a lot with toon already i cant see toon working for me in this instance. Toon does not render only the outline and toon also has a very thin line thickness.

If someone does think it is possible with toon shader, please tell me how, because the thin lines are one point, but you also have shadows (wich you dont want in a cartoon) and toon also renders some edges in between, or no outer edges at all, (wich you do want to some extend in 3D imaging).

In an optimal world, it would look something like the object shown below.

But this comes from Inventor, but the built-in render software in inventor does not support wireframe rendering.

I really hope some genius on here can help me out, since i have booked 0 progress the last 8 hours haha.

Thanks already!

Sure, you can do technical illustrations like this with the Toon shader:

White Custom Background color, Base and Specular Weights at 0.0, Emission at 1.0.

No lights, no environment map, no exposure control.

You can even do some artificial hatching.
