I’m making a futuristic city for a project in 3ds max…i want to place billboard type videos to the faces of buildings just like in Blade runner 2049…i textured the buildings with glowing lights so i get the illumination of the billboards and made green tracker points in the middle of them…i rendered few frames and tried to track it in AE but tracking goes haywire…am i doing anything wrong?how do i texture the buildings so it is easier for the tracking?I’m new to this and any help would be appreciated…thank you

You could simply use .avi or image sequences as textures. Of course you are loosing the ability to exchange the videos without having to re-render everything.

There is also an integrated workflow in 3dsmax with State Sets and After Effects. Since i don`t use AfterEffects there`s not much that i can suggest here:

From what i get you can send over planes as 3d solids to AfterEffects.
