Keyboard Short Commands for Walkthrough not working properly.

Hi

Max 2017.

Suddenly today, the Q, W. E and C keys that are used to control the camera in walkthrough mode are no longer doing that. Instead they perform the functions they normally perform when not in walkthrough mode.

I have checked the keyboard mappings in the keyboard section of Customize User Interface and they are correct.

Can anyone advise please.

/Jason

i use the arrow key without number to move and use the mouse to look up and down. anyway make sure your on the in footstep mode on the navigation bar. i think it's the same still you see on the navigation bar you are on the pan tool if you hold that down you will get a flyout and you will see two footstep, you select the footsteps this should allow you to walkthrough your scene.

Hello @Anonymous and welcome to the community,

Are you still having this issue?  Did the post by @irishman_team_kilber help here?  Chance are that you have your Keyboard Shortcut Override Toggle off which does interfere with the hotkeys.  (By design.)  Can you please check that for me?

the other problem you mite run into is when you do a walkthrough of your scene you cannot get it back to the original position, what i also do is on the menu bar i always go to views and then save active perspective and then this will hold your original position to you're computer memory, to restore it i do the same instead of using save i click on the restore active perspective. this will restore your view before you did the walkthrough so you will be back at the  original position
