Since my Max2020 installation stopped working by a really weird error (viewports stopped working - never seen something like this before) I re-installed Max2020 again. Before the IPT/IAM import worked perfectly, but after re-installation of Max2020 the import does not work anymore, no matter how often I re-install this part of software.

Is there anywhere a description about which services need to run and what these services expect in the registry?

btw: the max2016 setup on the same machine still loads IPT/IAM files..

Try running the following from a command window:

C:\Program Files\Autodesk\3ds Max 2020\Inventor Server\Bin\RegisterInventorServer.exe from a
