Hi guy's,

I think i just found a pretty good deal on a second hand laptop here the specs Lenovo t510 i7 620m dual core, 4 GB ram(will ad 4 more) with 512MB NVIDIA® Quadro® NVS3100M for a whopping 125$ so i think it doesn't get any better than this!

My question is since i have to go get it tonight will a dual core and these specs be enough to do low poly modeling and a little Photoshop and substance designer work?

Will appreciate quick answer since i have to meet the seller tonight.

i would upgrade it to 16 or 32 gb of ram as your scenes get bigger then max will use up alot more memory. the more stuff you add example models, lights, camera, special effects, etc max will slow down. IMHO the VGA did not matter as much as memory, max can be very memory intensive.

Thank for the quick reply and i am aware of Max requirement but i will only be doing low poly modeling and a little Photoshop and i was not sure about how a i7 dual core would  compared to my i7 2600k from my desktop?

Regarding the ram this model can only be upgrade to 8 GB.

I mean only if a dual core would have any real drawback that prevent me from doing light stuff since i don't intend to do heavy scene and rendering.

All heavy work will be done on my desktop!
