hello
i am following tutorials on youtube by same author and stuck with 2 render issues . The first one is a tutorial where you see the reflection of a sphere against a plate , i am supposed to render for the plate to change back to original color and show reflection of the sphere but he doesnt show what he does to render .The second one is moving a bitmap from Materials manager to the sphere but it turns the sphere grey only again i must render but he doesnt show how .
can you copy and paste the link of the video that your following maybe he just click the clone render frame window, to duplicate first duplicate the first frame render, to show you what it looks like?? then he works on the second image,
Reflection video 16

moving bitmap to sphere video 17

your jumping from one subject to another, i would just start off with learning the basic, your running before you can walk. model your character like you were doing yeterday, once you have that down then you can go into another chapter, your gonna end up pulling your hair out, if you jump from chapter to chapter
i have tried F9 and nothing happens , both moving bitmap to sphere and reflection of sphere on miror . I see the authors software display is different from mine . I did catch him in one video using the teapot on tab to render but its different to what i have on my Tab . any other hints you can think off ?
here is an image of matters as they stand , tried the render drop down menu options , checked the Tpots as well .
sorry i dont understand the reply , my panel as you can see is not the same , i dont have that Tpot . thats why i was looking for a tutorial for 2020 version . I'm sure i saw the author click that same Tpot you posted in other videos . I have tried them all as well as assign to button .
all max version are the same apart from the more features they have added
Go to page 8 and it will show you rendering teapot, you have two teapots you have the rendering dialog box and you have the normal render,
here is the autodesk 3ds max docs
There are several ways to render and you have shared with us that you can. I made some mark ups on the screen shot you sent to show different approaches to find the rendering tool and settings. F9 works too.
Are you trying to figure out why the material is not appearing on the object in the scene? and remains gray?
yes this works , click twice . its late here , tomorrow i will do again the 3 tutorials which require render and try the same button . tutorial 16 -17 and 18 . tutorial 18 i must apply one image per side and render . thank you all
