Thread title, basically. How...?! I created a shortcut for the Connect Edge tool (No dialog). It just brings up your new edges and they are selected as soon as they appear. How the hell do you move them inwards or out?

I was watching that tutorial (timestamped link) and I got confused when he was using shortcuts. I could've sworn he used the Connect tool before with no dialog and moved things.
But in case there's something i'm missing, the question still remains.
