Help: Saving max file in an older version

Hi everyone,

I'm posting this to kindly ask someone to help me out in saving my 2017 max file in a 2016 version.

I'd really appreciate it if someone would help to save time so I can start working on the project.

Your help is highly appreciated!

Thank you for your time.

You can do that yourself. It's easy:

Go to the file menu, click save as, then click on Save as Type at the bottom and choose another fileversion, instead of the standard (which corresponds to your current version)

I'm on 2020 and I can save files all the way back to 2017.

Thank you for your reply.

The problem is I can't open the file due to the fact that I have max 2016 installed on my computer but the file was saved a few months ago on another computer that had the 2017 version.

Unfortunately, I don't have access to the other computer and I wouldn't want to download the max 2017 version because it would take some time to do so.

Appreciate your help.
