hi @Anonymous ,

 

thanks for bringing your request to the 3ds Max forums. Depending on what you are trying to convert, your best bet would be to Export an FBX of the files you are working with. Here are some more details on the import/export process, but to help you further, folks would need some additional details about your project and end goal.

When you go to save a 3dsmax file, there is a dropdown list to select the 3dsmax version.  It goes back about 3 versions.  If you are using any modifiers that have been updated since that version, it may not work properly.
