HDRI Material Bug?

Hello. Thank you for looking at this to start off.
Yesterday I was working in 3ds Max with Vray. I was modeling out some objects for my scene and checking out them in render constantly. Eventually I changed the texture of one of my objects (The walls specifically.) and they just completely broke. At first It just seemed like they were just super dark but at closer inspection it seems that the material is now my HDRI. I tried changing the material to another material but nothing seems to fix it. In the viewport it will update but when I go to render it, it just goes back to the hdri
